First time in Antipolo, the OLLCS Community experienced a meaningful retreat in the three-hectare secluded home of the Alagad ni Maria seminarians and at the same time venue for spiritual retreats, Tahanang Nazareth, Oct. 4-6.
Teemed with mother nature and good spots for spiritual isolation, the faculty and staff were able to spend moments of reflections and realizations about life.
Retreat facilitator, Rev. Fr. Ericson Laguna, AM newly ordained priest of the said Order led the community in discovering the meaning and purpose of being a community.
Through a game activity, he made the teachers and staff realized the importance of unity as the driving force to achieve the goals of the institution.
During small group sharing, teachers and staff were able to share their moments of "turning away" from their love ones and eventually their "returning home" just like the famous parable, the Prodigal Son.
The community experienced a special way of reciting the rosary. While waiting for their chance to receive God's mercy in the Sacrament of Reconciliation, they were with Mama Mary praying the rosary at the central garden of the retreat house.
After, Fr. Ericson, led the community to another healing moment where he invited everyone to approach God and let go of their personal issues in life, past or present.
Finally, the retreat ended with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist and during Mass the whole community finished their spiritual journey with their heartfelt greetings of peace.
